Alternative Cancer Treatments are increasingly being used for treating
cancer patients. The treatments are either used a sole therapy or in
combination with traditional therapies to cure cancer. These treatments are
based on the fact that our own immune system provides the first and best

1. Dendritic Cell Therapy

Cancer occurs when the immune system fails and comes across tumor cells.
Macrophage or monocyte is an immune cell that comes in contact with th
cancerous or precancerous cell. (Pre)cancerous cell signals the macrophage
of any unhealthy cell. Macrophage breaks the cell into little pieces with the
help of little packets of enzymes. The little pieces are then either moved to
another type of immune cell or transformed to what is call a ‘Dendritic Cell’.
These cells are found in all tissues of the body. The very first dendritic cell
discovered occurs throughout the skin and is called a Langerhan’s cell.
Dendritic cells are helpful in switching on an immune response and these
stimulate the T-cells to become active against tumors.

Experiments have proved that these dendritic cells with tumor antigens can
provide effective response against cancer. It is possible to produce large
number of dendritic cells from the circulating blood of cancer patients, find
source of tumor antigen and mature them.

Dendritic cell therapy is very effective when used with other types of
immune therapies. The therapy itself is also useful for patients with high
risk of recurrence once the tumor is removed by surgery.

2. Coley Vaccine

This Vaccine was developed by William Coley, a surgeon in 1893 at the New
York Cancer Hospital. Coley discovered that when his vaccine caused a
fever, the cancer shrank and number of immune cells increased
dramatically. Usually, fevers are suppressed with medicinal drugs like
acetaminophen, aspirin or ibuprofen. But studies have shown that
suppressing a fever not only makes the infection worse but also spreads it.
Coley recognized the beneficial effects of fever in cancer patients. He also
discovered that when he stopped injecting the vaccine too early, the cancer
started growing again. Thus, immune cells could be stimulated to fight the
cancer for a limited time only. So, he used repeated injections to stimulate
the immune system continuously.

Though it is called Coley’s vaccine, it does not work to prevent an infection.
Rather, it induces an immune response. Similarly, Coley’s toxins are not
toxins though they contain endotoxins and exotoxins. Under the therapy,
Coley’s toxins are injected into the affected tissues. Injection makes the
cancer tissue necrotic which is then removed by drains. Injections are
repeatedly given either daily or after every two days, however this varies
from person to person.

3. Heat Shock Antigen Cancer Vaccine

Immune therapies for cancer stimulate white blood cells to attack cancer
cells. Vaccines reprogram patient’s immune system to recognize and attack
the cells having the cancer fingerprint. Heat shock antigen vaccine captures
the particular cancer’s ‘fingerprint,’ which contains unique antigens. The
personalized vaccine treats immune systems of cancer patients with little or
no side effects.

HSAV is made from patients’ tumors and heat shock proteins that are
produced by patients’ white blood cells. Part or all of the cancerous tissue
is removed through surgery. White blood cells contain heat shock proteins
that are purified and mixed with purified antigens from the tumor. The
mixture is filtered and put into vials. The final product is tested for quality
and sterility.

4. Cytokines Cancer Vaccine Treatment

Cytokines, also known as immune hormones can both enhance and
suppress immunity. For cancer treatments, cytokines enhance immunity.
FDA has approved two cytokines, interleukin-2 (IL-2) and interferon-alfa 2b,
to be used against certain cancers. Combinations of cytokines deliver
better results. For example, Interleukin-2 stimulates white blood cells to
divide. A very high dose of it will be required if it is used individually.
However, that can cause negative side effects. The solution to this can be
the use of natural combination produced by white blood cells.
By using the combination, the dose of IL-2 can be lowered. Effects of heat
shock protein vaccines and dendritic cell vaccines can be enhanced when

5. Photodynamic Cancer Therapy

Every single cell in your body has its own built-in defense system. This defense system is called ‘glutathione’, and each cell produces it! Your immune system is highly dependent on your cells producing glutathione to aid in the prevention of all illnesses and diseases!

Glutathione protects the cells in your body against free radical damages. As the level of glutathione diminishes, a cell’s defense system weakens. It is then that a cell can become ‘injured’ by free radicals and even ‘mutate’ and start multiplying out of control.

When this happens, you now have what one calls a ‘tumor’ or ‘growth’. Over a period of time the ‘mutated’ cells can turn to ‘cancer’. When you have low glutathione levels, the immune system can no longer do its job. When your glutathione levels are strong, your immune system recognizes ‘injured’ and ‘mutated’ cells and neutralizes them.

What you need to understand!

A mutated cell that has become a ‘cancer’ cell, takes every bit of nutrition it needs to grow and become stronger by feeding on the glutathione of the healthy cells, hence weakening the healthy cells.

Therefore, this is why when one’s cancer cells are introduced to chemotherapy (a means of boosting the immune system), it is the normal cells that have been originally drained of glutathione by the cancer cells that take the beating, and why one feels so sick!

In fact, the chemotherapy which is given to boost your immune system for the purpose of killing these strong ‘cancer’ cells, puts you at a very high risk of a future ‘cancer’ originating from one of your healthy cells because they have so severely been drained of glutathione…hence the infamous remission period!

The cancer cells have been destroyed! Now let’s wait and see if a healthy, but weakened cell, becomes ‘cancerous’…That’s your remission period!!!

What doctors don’t take the time to explain!

Normal, healthy cells produces glutathione as it needs it, to build-up its defense system daily. It’s ongoing on a day-to-day basis, always reproducing.

Here lies the difference between a healthy cell and a cancer cell. A ‘cancer’ cell will produce and feed itself of glutathione very quickly to become a very strong cancer cell. But the moment they are too full, they ’shut down’. Once it shuts down, it can never, ever turn the clock or mechanism back on to make glutathione again! Normal cells produces it as it needs it, ‘cancer’ cells can’t.

Example: Cell A versus Cell B

Cell A is a normal cell. Cell B is low on glutathione. They both are being attacked every day by free radicals. It is a fact that as we age, glutathione levels start dropping and become low, thereby weakening the immune system and exposing us to all sorts of diseases.

Now, cell B which is already low on glutathione levels, has in effect weakened the immune system. Since the cell is constantly being attacked by free radicals, it is weakened further. Normally a strong immune system would suffice in destroying this cell. But because the immune system is so weak, it doesn’t and therefore, the DNA of this cell has changed and the cell has started to ‘mutate’. It has started multiplying and is now a ‘mass’ or a ‘tumor’.

Now that cell B has grown into a tumor, it starts ‘hogging’ all the nutrients it needs to make glutathione to become even stronger than the immune system. As it builds its strength, it grows out of control and becomes ‘cancerous’. When it’s introduced to chemotherapy, which is an immune system booster, it can withstand the chemotherapy!

Meanwhile cell A, which has been weakened by cell B, is also exposed to the poison and radiation of chemotherapy. Even if you manage to somehow recover from the first cancer, your immune system is so ‘beat up’ from the radiation of chemotherapy, that it can’t do its job.

The once normal cell A, has become so susceptible to free radical damage, that within 1 to 4 years, it to fails and becomes a secondary cancer with even more strength, than the primary.

THE KEY IS TO INCREASE GLUTATHIONE LEVELS!

The key is obviously to increase your glutathione levels in your body so that the cancerous cells, once full, stop making their own glutathione…’shut down’ and hence become the weaker cell. The immune system has now strengthened and overpowered the ‘mutated cells’ and destroys them.

Glutathione is the master antioxidant needed by the immune system to fight off every day free radical damage and DNA mutations. It is necessary not only to your cellular system, but also to your skeletal system. Consequently when it is high and strong, it will ward off any diseases.

Doctors will tell you that you cannot take immune system boosters, such as antioxidant vitamins C & E etc., during chemotherapy treatment. They are correct since the cancer cells are already stronger than the normal cells, and these antioxidants in pill form, only adds to their defense system against treatment by chemotherapy.

Glutathione , which naturally builds up the immune system, has to come from within the cells themselves, and manufactured by the cells.

SO HOW DOES ONE DO THIS? You need to boost your immune system naturally through complementary alternative medecine. Only by making sure your immune system is always at its peak can you avoid cancer.

Furthermore, if you’re struggling with cancer, and understand your cells as explained above, then you need to realize that the chemotherapy treatment you received, simply put, is an immune system booster to kill your cancerous cells. The problem, however, is that the good cells have been weakened of their glutathione levels to such an extent, that they too can now become cancerous. That is in fact, the truth behind the remission period. The ‘wait and see’ ideology!

It’s unfortunate that so many people believe, or are led to believe, that they are healed of cancer, or think that the remission period is to see if the cancer will come back. That cancerous cell will never come back, it’s been destroyed! You’re waiting to see if your good and weakened cells will become another cancer. What do you suppose the first thought a person just diagnosed with cancer has? Do they think about death? Do they think about chemotherapy and other medical treatments? What would you think of first if you found out you had cancer?

For me, I’ve already decided that if I ever do get cancer, I will not seek out the conventional medical cancer interventions and treatments that are the society standard today. I’ve decided I will seek a natural route, one that does not involve chemotherapy and the destruction of my healthy cells as well as cancer cells. I’ve decided I will seek a treatment that does not weaken me physically, but rather helps to empower and strengthen my body.

This decision has come to me over my lifetime, and personally seeing relatives suffer through this type of treatment, only to quickly deteriorate, and in my opinion, die a faster, more painful death than if they’d had not treatment at all. Dramatic statement, I know, but nonetheless, this is my opinion.

I do not know what natural therapy or lifestyle changes I would actually choose if I were in that position, but I do know this is how I would choose to fight my battle, and I would hope that with some prompted research, the natural choice would make itself apparent. This is my personal choice, and no one could change my mind.

Now, consider this. What if I were only 16 years old, and I had come to this same conclusion, with the added caveat that I had actually had chemotherapy and been severely debilitated by it once already? Does the government or a judge have the right to intervene and order medical treatment, which I do not believe in, and in fact, which I believe will actually kill me, if not dramatically jeopardize my quality of life?

That’s exactly what is transpiring right now for a 16 year old Virginia man (I say man, because this particular teen carries himself like an adult), with 2nd stage Hodgkins disease, a form of cancer that is very treatable the first time around, but upon recurrence, is less treatable and more deadly, requiring more drastic traditional chemotherapy and radiation.

Initially, the teen did undergo chemotherapy when the cancer was first discovered. He was weakened so badly, and in so much pain, that when his oncologist ordered a second round of more agressive chemo and radiation when the cancer returned, he refused and sought out an alternative cancer treatment called the Hoxsy method.

It is important to note that this natural, herbal method of cancer treatment, which is paired with a sugar free diet, has been banned by the FDA in the US, and he had to travel to Mexico in order to receive the daily herbs he had to take as well as intructions on how the treatment worked.

His parents advised the teen’s oncologist of their intentions for further alternative treatment, but said they’d like his continued medical monitoring. The oncologist felt this was neglect, and reported his parents to the authorities for investigation of medical neglect.

The case is now in court, and so far the judge has ordered the teen to undergo the chemotherapy treatments that he has so adamantly refused. I ask, how can you force someone who is obviously so against a certain medical treatment, to receive that treatment, regardless whether they are an “adult” as defined by today’s standards?

I can guarantee this teen has been forced to become much more mature than his biological years already through this ordeal, and is more than capable of making his own choices in his method of cancer treatment. Is this morally and ethically right? Or is it morally and ethically right to give him chemo, which many believe may actually save him while the alternative methods cannot possibly work?

I suppose it depends on your point of view, whether you are a believer in the pharmaceutical and medical industry or not. I for one have lost a lot of faith in the medical industry, and I believe that this choice should be left to the person it affects most. And that is, the one who has the cancer, the one who’s life has been so dramatically changed and nearly ruined by chemotherapy. Is it not up to the individual, or is this just a case of “the establishment” having their way?
