Free Radicals: A Nazi Legacy Around the Globe

September 29th, 2008 by admin | No Comments | Filed in Uncategorized

Oxygen is a two-edged sword. It is both vital and detrimental to life itself. In the body, oxygen can change into what are called free radicals. These free radicals attack and destroy healthy cells in a process called oxidation. The rusting of your car is another example of oxidation. Oxidation plays a significant role in both heart disease and cancer. Free radicals speed the progression of Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Free radicals also cause diabetes and are known to play a role in both arthritis and asthma.

The body makes free radicals. They also come from avoidable sources like smoking cigarettes or breathing in second-hand smoke. Air pollutants, pesticides, and exhaust fumes also cause free radical damage to cells. Another avoidable source of free radicals is eating food that has been prepared in a microwave oven.

–Microwaves–

The Nazis invented microwave ovens for mobile meal preparation and to assist with the invasion of Russia. After the war, the Russians did thorough research on the biological effects of microwaves. Their studies showed that all food heated in the microwave changed molecularly and becomes a carcinogen (cancer causing). Naturally occurring amino acids in foods are changed to a toxic form. As a result, microwaves were outlawed in the Soviet Union. The Soviets also issued an international warning on the health hazards of microwave technology.

In 1991, Dr. Hans Ulrich Hertel, a food scientist, and Dr. Blanc, a Lausanne University professor, published a research paper on the dangers of cooking in microwave ovens. Their well-controlled study showed that microwave cooking changed the nutrients in the food, which caused degenerative changes in the participants’ blood, reduced immune function, and increased cancer cells in the blood. Studies done at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, the University Institute for Biochemistry, and others had similar findings. Eating microwaved food also causes an interruption in the production of hormones and has a negative effect on the electrical impulses in the brain.

~~ “If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.” -Joseph Goebbel ~~

As soon as Doctors Hertel and Blanc published their results, the authorities reacted because of industry pressures. In March 1993, Dr. Hertel was convicted of “interfering with commerce” and prohibited from further publishing his results. However, Dr. Hertel stood his ground and fought this decision over the years. Eventually, this decision was reversed in a judgment delivered in Strasbourg, Austria, on August 25, 1998. The European Court of Human Rights held that there had previously been a violation of Hertel’s rights.

~~ “We occasionally stumble over the truth but most of us pick ourselves up and hurry off as if nothing had happened.” -Winston Churchill ~~

I know the thought of living without a microwave puts people in a panic. However, microwave technology is dangerous. I personally no longer use a microwave. My husband and son came home from Boy Scout Camp one day to find that ours had mysteriously disappeared. After significant research, I couldn’t feed my family or myself anything that had been radiated in a microwave oven. Yes, it has been an adjustment. But my family’s health makes it an adjustment worth making.

–Antioxidants–

Besides avoiding microwaved food and cigarette smoke, oxidation can be slowed or halted by nutrients called antioxidants, which have been shown to help arthritis and asthma. Antioxidants can be found in a variety of vegetables, fruits, and nuts. You want to choose produce in a variety of colors. The color of the individual fruit or vegetable is indicative of the type of antioxidant it contains. Antioxidants are also found in vitamin supplement formulas.

Perhaps even more than any other kind of wig, human hair will look the very best. The purpose is to do the very best possible job of making sure that the person undergoing agonizing treatment can live as actively as possible, look great, and feel more confident wearing their human hair wigs.

Children especially do not want to stand out, there is often no tolerance for the unusual in elementary schools. Children can be very cruel. A wig will help a child feel more like the others in their schools or day-camps etc. In anyone’s case, as he or she battles the horrors of , believe it or not, wigs can be a primary concern. When the purpose of finding wigs, not for your self but for a patient, you are truly warming someone’s heart. Whether you know the patient or not the gift of a wig can (and is likely to be) the very best gift for him or her.

Wigs Help Patients Handle the Challenges of Treatment

September 29th, 2008 by admin | No Comments | Filed in Uncategorized

Like it or not, humans are vain creatures. One of the top fears of a , beyond the thought of losing life, is the concern over losing hair. Since is half medicine and half attitude, overcoming the vain concerns is key in most treatment plans. Here’s where good wigs can come into play, but for many, the expense is great.

Through American Cancer Society sponsorship programs and even through agencies like Locks of Love, anyone can get involved in helping make sure high-quality wigs get to the patients who need them. Wearing a wig is maybe not the same as having a full head of one’s own hair, but if a high quality wig is offered, the only one who is likely to know the difference will be the person wearing it. Plus, wigs can even be fun, whimsical and fantastic for those who don’t face treatment.

Wigs of today are not the same as they were in years gone by. High quality wigs look natural, mimic genuine colors and are fitted correctly to a person’s head so a natural appearance is presented. Super high quality wigs can cost hundreds of dollars though, so for the , the expense can be prohibitive.

Youngsters who have faced hair loss can be helped through organizations such as Locks of Love or Wigs for Kids. Locks of Love provides wigs made of human hair for optimum natural appearances. There are even programs tailored especially for adults and those who face hair loss for other medical reasons.

Supporting agencies that provide wigs to those in need is fairly simple for anyone to do. Most American Cancer Society branches, for example, take donations for their wig programs. The branches provide fittings and wigs free of charge to patients who cannot afford them. Everything from a $1 to $1,000 and beyond helps and just about every penny donated stays local, and monies can even be earmarked for set programs.

Locks of Love takes donations of money and hair. Donors of hair all over America and beyond give to this program by growing their locks to a set length and having them chopped for the wig creation organization. The hair is then shipped to the agency, which processes it for use in wigs for youngsters who need them.

When people look good, they tend to feel good. For the , attitude can be half the battle. The horrors of the disease alone can be hard for some to face, but the hair loss that goes along with it can be a blow that’s hard for many to take. To get involved in donating full wigs, hair or money to the cause, check with agencies such as Lock of Love or the American Cancer Society for programs in your region.

A wig might seem like a simplistic thing to give a , but it’s not. In fact, the little bit of self-esteem it returns to the person can make all the difference in the world.

Cancer and the Useless Poisonous Cures

September 28th, 2008 by admin | No Comments | Filed in Uncategorized

Cancer patients are subjected to a barrage of cutting-edge medical treatments — surgery, , radiotherapy, hormonal therapy, etc. How effective are these? Like in casino gambling — many patrons tried their luck and some win but many more lost. At the end of the day, the winner is the Establishment! Don’t get me wrong. The “business” of curing cancer does produce winners. Some current methods of treatment are very useful and life-saving. But more often some treatments are just outright dangerous, if we care to see or know what had really happened.

A review of medical literature seems to indicate that CHEMOTHERAPY — the use of cytotoxic drugs for killing cancer cells in the body, appears to many authors are “barbaric”, while others feel that they are not effective at all.

The popular magazine in Germany, Der Spiegel of 4 October 2004, had an article entitled: “Giftkur ohne Nutzen” translated as “The Useless Poisonous Cures.” The article stated that “increasingly sophisticated and expensive cellular poisons are being given to seriously ill patients … patients do not actually live a day longer.”

Wolfgang Wrasidlo, director of drug development, Scripps Clinic, La Jolla, California was quoted to have said: “Everybody knows that our present cancer drugs are lousy.”

Barry Sears, author of Enter the Zone wrote: “The existing treatments for cancer are probably the most barbaric in modern medicine.”

Dr. Jeffrey Tobias, clinical director of the Meyerstein Institute of Oncology, UK, (in the book: Cancer) said: “It is … surprising how often the rule of: first do no harm is ignored”. Sometimes oncologists use indiscriminately with “no justification other than the physician’s desire to do something.” Such remark is indeed disturbing. Does it mean that in the past or even now, has been used on patients indiscriminately?

Dr. Urich Abel, an eminent German professor at the University of Heidelberg concluded that:
(in Der Spiegel 33:174-176. 1990): “For most of today’s common solid cancer, the ones that cause 90% of the cancer deaths every year — breast, lung, colon, rectum, skin, liver, pancreatic and bladder – has never been proved to do any good at all.”

Dr. Ralph Moss, fired from the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center for telling the truth, has written books and numerous articles on – e.g., Questioning Chemotherapy, Cancer Industry, etc. According to Dr. Moss “ usually doesn’t cure cancer or extend life. It does not improve the quality of patient’s life either. On the contrary it can “greatly decrease the quality of life.”

Albert Braverman, a professor of oncology at the State University of New York, USA, wrote: “Many medical oncologists recommend for virtually any tumour, with a hopefulness undiscouraged by almost invariable failures” (Lancet, April 1991.337:901).

Johan Bjorksten from the University of Wisconsin, USA, wrote: “Chemotherapy alone destroys the immune system beyond a point … which increases the risk for early death from infections and other cancers in these immunologically naked people.” (in J. Bjorksten, JAB Pulb., 1978, pg. 22, Charleston, S.C).

Dr. Richard Evans (in his book: The Cancer Breakthrough You’ve Never Heard Of) wrote: “Patients should understand that is of little benefit for … solid tumors. Every year thousands of people endure toxic side effects … and receive little, if any, benefit.”

Dr. W. John Diamond & Associates, writing about conventional medical treatment for cancer said: “The so-called success of conventional is often illusionary. There is no conclusive … evidence or data demonstrating long-term successful outcomes or reasonable rates of remissions to support these practices.”

Dr. John Lee & Associates wrote (in their book: What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Breast Cancer): “Some does prolong life for a few months, but generally at the high price of devastating side effects. The use of is purely a gamble… Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t and sometimes it makes things worse.”

In the light of the above comments by various experts I feel that cancer patients need to empower themselves. In the name of fairness, I feel that anyone who is to undergo any invasive treatment procedures such as MUST be provided with sufficient and honest information so that he would be able to decide for himself what is best for him. Unfortunately, many patients who came to see us were left ignorant or very much unaware of what they were in for — the cards were not laid out for them. Sometimes they were even misinformed.

Without any disrespect to any person or profession, I have to point out that one much needed step that has to be taken is to seek the truth about the current treatments for cancer. Let us study all the records available and let us ask these questions and find honest, unbiased answers. For all the surgery, , radiotherapy (and other drugs) that have been administered to patients:

1. How many patients have been cured?

2. How many have benefited from the treatments?

3. What are the benefits and at what cost?

4. How many died?

5. How many survived after one, two, three, five or ten years after the treatments?

6. How many siffered metastases of the liver, bone, lungs, etc.?

7. Is there any correlation between the treatments they received and the metastases that occurred?

Unfortunately, such answers remain elusive and not forthcoming. The strategy to remain in this lucrative cancer-treatment-business is to be as non-committal with the real facts — be as vague and ambiguous as possible in addition to putting up a false front of “I-know-all” image.

“You patients don’t ask too many questions. I am the one who know best and you just follow my orders.”

Let me end with this quotation:

“None are so blind as those who have eyes and see not;

and none are so deaf as those who have ears and hear not.”

Learn The Common Symptoms Of Colon Cancer In Order To Get Immediate Treatment

September 28th, 2008 by admin | No Comments | Filed in Uncategorized

Colon cancer is a dangerous form of cancer that starts in the colon, and then if nothing is done to treat it, it will start to spread. The causes of have not been discovered yet, but scientists are researching its causes and new treatments that can help cure and metastatic .

The colon and the rectum for the large intestine. First, a tumor appears in the colon or sometimes in the rectum, and then it starts to grow, and the cancerous tissue spreads. In time it can reach other organs, such as the liver or the lungs.
In its early phases can be treated quite easily, and the survival rate for patients diagnosed with stage 2 or 3 is over 80%. However, if the cancer advances to the third or fourth stage, it will be really hard to cure it, the survival rate drops under 10%, but there still is hope.

This is why it is important to learn the signs and symptoms of , and detect them early in order to start the treatment as soon as possible. The problem is that stage 1 or 2 has almost no symptoms at all, and it’s hard to detect this disease until it has already advanced too much.

These are the common symptoms that may indicate an early or a high risk of developing :

-stool that contains small amounts of blood
-bleeding from the anus, which appears more rarely, and may just be a coincidence, but it can also be a sign

If has advanced, then many symptoms appear. The most commonly encountered ones are:

-pain in the abdomen
-vomiting and nausea

-larger amount of blood in the stool
-change in bowel habits
-sudden weight loss
-thin stool
-stomach cramps
-diarrhea
-fatigue or tiredness

If you experience any of the symptoms mentioned above then immediately consult a doctor. Some of them can be cause by other affections, but in either case it’s important to seek medical attention. The doctors will perform some tests and clinical trials which will determine if you have or haven’t got ,and how far has it spread.

If it has not spread much then it can easily be treated with a surgery, that removes the parts of the large intestine where tumors are.
A stage IV diagnose is a very bad news, and it will probably change your life, but remember that there still is hope.
