A type of breast cancer that is rare and gets its name from the appearance of the skin on the breast is “inflammatory breast cancer.”

Diagnosis of inflammatory breast cancer is usually diagnosed at a younger age than those diagnosed with other forms of breast cancer. Inflammatory breast cancer is diagnosed in men only in very rare circumstances.

In the past, women diagnosed with inflammatory breast cancer had grim survival statistics; however, new approaches in treatment offer greater chances for survival than ever before.

Symptoms of inflammatory breast cancer include:

• A breast that appears red, purple, pink or bruised

• A tender, firm and enlarged breast

• A warm feeling in the breast

• Itching of the breast

• Pain

• Ridged or dimpled skin texture, similar to an orange peel

• Thickened areas of skin

• Enlarged lymph nodes under the arm, above the collarbone or below the collarbone

• Flattening or retraction of the nipple

• Swollen or crusted skin on the nipple

• Change in color of the skin around the nipple

These same symptoms can also indicate a breast infection called “mastitis.” Mastitis occurs most often in younger women who are breast-feeding. Mastitis causes a fever and is easily treated with antibiotics. Inflammatory breast cancer does not typically cause a fever, nor does it respond to antibiotics.

Another condition in which there can be redness, warmth and swelling of the breast is caused by a previous operation or radiation therapy that involved the outer breast or underarm. These cases are not inflammatory breast cancer either.
Inflammatory breast cancer progresses rapidly. If you notice any of the above symptoms of inflammatory breast cancer, mention them right away to your physician.

If you receive treatment for a breast infection (mastitis) and your symptoms last longer than a week after starting antibiotics, ask your physician to do imaging studies of the breast or to perform a breast biopsy. If the test shows no signs of cancer and your symptoms seem to worsen, talk to your physician about getting another biopsy or ask for a referral to a breast specialist.

Treatment for inflammatory breast cancer:

Inflammatory breast cancer was treated by surgery. The mortality rate was at 100 percent. Significant progress has been made in recent years, which has improved the prognosis for a woman with inflammatory breast cancer. Once almost always fatal, the disease now results in half of women diagnosed being alive in five years and one-third of women diagnosed surviving 10 or more years.

Reconstruction after surgery is possible, but not for all women. If you undergo extensive radiation therapy your options for reconstruction are limited.

When choosing cosmetic ingredients you should always read the label, read the fine print for any side effects warning they may have. If you are unsure of what product you should choose, you can always check out the Environmental Working Group website on the internet before purchasing any sort of cosmetic product. Other products to be avoided are products containing Coal Tar, Aluminum and Sodium Lauryl Sulphate. Coal Tar, which is the synthetic colors used in lipsticks and shampoos should be avoided because these chemicals have been known to cause headaches, nausea, allergies, cancer and skin disorders among other things. Yellow #10 is a perfect example of a synthetic color. Aluminum is found in many products such as eye shadow, eye liner and mascara and is a neurotoxin that is known to damage the heart and lungs and can also cause infertility and Alzheimers disease. Sodium Lauryl Sulphate is found in skin crèmes and toothpastes and this helps the product to make its lather. This toxic ingredient makes the skin dry and can also combine with other ingredients to create toxic compounds.

When making a choice of what products to choose, look for products that are labeled environmentally friendly, because these products are made through natural processes, using natural ingredients and without harmful chemicals. Also be very careful when choosing soaps, because there are many poor quality soaps out there on the market that contain ingredients that can strip the skin of its natural moisture shield which can break down the bodys immune system leaving the skin dry and thereby causing the skin to age more rapidly.

Is cancer curable? The World Health Organization defines health as physical, mental, social and spiritual well being. Much has been said about the first three aspects of health and rather little of how much spiritual root causes affect our health. The Spiritual Science Research Foundation has investigated the spiritual aspect of cancer disease and the probability of its cure by introducing spiritual healing remedies.

If let’s say there are 10 cancer patients, what are their chances of being cured by spiritual healing remedies? The interplay between the various viewpoints is complex and no one factor can be viewed in isolation. 1. Role of destiny as a causative factor for cancer and the corresponding amount of spiritual practice required

Life threatening illnesses like cancer are invariably destined. b. Moderate destiny: Cancer detected later when organic changes have well set in. Requires intense amount of spiritual practice (10-12 hours a day) on a regular basis.
c. Severe destiny: Cancer detected late after irreversible changes have set in and has terminal prognosis. Requires intense spiritual practice for a long time and the grace of a Saint or God.

3. Time of beginning spiritual practice

It is always advisable to initiate the spiritual practice early in life as a preventive measure against cancer. Depending on the time when one begins spiritual practice, one can either avoid a destined illness like cancer altogether or substantially reduce its intensity, which is directly proportional to the quality and quantity of spiritual practice done in relation to the severity of destiny.

4. Has organ degeneration occurred?

If organ degeneration has occurred, in almost all cases the changes cannot be reversed with spiritual remedies. The intensity of the illness can however reduce.

5. Give-and-take account with the doctor

By give and take account we mean sum total of positive and negative interplay of actions between two individuals as per the Law of Action (Karma). If the give-and-take account is negative, the doctor may overlook key aspects of the patient’s cancer thus extending the suffering. This is also why sometimes a patient can become even more ill which we may see as negligence on the doctor’s part. If the account is very positive then it would seem that the doctor has a golden touch. The give-and-take account is also the reason why we choose a certain doctor over another.

The general method includes a machine kept outside the body, which produces radiation. Another method is by placing a radiation-emitting device directly to the affected cell by way of plastic tubes. In addition to controlling radiation, doctors use these tubes to inject the required drugs.

Chemotherapy for peritoneal mesothelioma controls symptoms and tries to slow the cancer down. This therapy is used to kill mesothelioma cells by injecting anti-cancer drugs that are usually injected into a vein. Medicines can be administered in tablet form. Depending on the type of medicine used, the treatment can be applied weekly or every two to three weeks.

Peritoneal mesothelioma does not always respond to traditional mesothelioma treatment ways. Physicians and researchers are constantly working to improve upon the existing peritoneal mesothelioma treatment.
